For those who register for World Congress, you may add the option of the “World Live Surgery Workshop” for an additional fee during the registration process. There is limited seating for World Live Surgery Workshop and is available on first-come, first-served basis.
World Congress will include the usual didactic components – Pre-Congress Courses (optional) on Wednesday, General Sessions on Thursday through Saturday morning, Live Patient Viewing, and other optional courses and events. The World Congress education will conclude on Saturday by noon. The Gala will take place Saturday evening.
World Live Surgery Workshop will begin on Saturday at noon and end on Sunday early evening. Live patient SMP procedures and live surgeries FUE and FUT will take place. Registrants for World Live Surgery Workshop will be bussed to the hospital and back to the hotel.

• Physicians with an interest in hair restoration surgery who are new to the field
• Surgical assistants, technicians, and other office personnel employed by ISHRS Physician Members and Pending Members
The official language of the meeting is English. One-way English-to-Mandarin simultaneous interpretation will be provided during the General Session on Thursday, Friday, Saturday (World Congress). The workshops slotted for the general session room will also have one-way simultaneous interpretation. Attendees wishing to utilize a simultaneous interpretation headset must advance register for this option via the registration process. Simultaneous interpretation will not be offered for the World Live Surgery Workshop.
The time zone in Bangkok is Indochina Time, which is UTC/GMT +7 hours. They do not change the clock at any time of the year. A few examples: New York City local time is 12 hours earlier than Bangkok, Los Angeles local time is 15 hours earlier than Bangkok, and London local time is 7 hours earlier than Bangkok.
The weather in Bangkok is dominated by a tropical monsoon climate. This means the city has three main seasons: hot season from March to June, rainy season from July to October and cool season between November and February. At the end of the year Bangkok is at its driest, though, there is still 40mm of rain over the course of 5 days in Nov. In November, the sun normally shines 8 hours per day, with temperatures generally settling between 75°F and 90°F (24°C and 31°C). Thailand’s high season is Nov. to Feb., when the weather is generally at its best throughout the country.
The attire for the educational sessions is business. Attire for the Gala is formal, with black tie optional (evening gowns and suits/tuxedos). If you prefer, as a tradition of the ISHRS, you may wear a costume reflective of your native country for the Gala.
At the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok, all attendees will have access to wifi in their guest rooms, the hotel public space, and the ISHRS World Congress meeting space.

The ISHRS fully complies with the legal requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the rules and regulations thereof. Registration fees, less a $100.00 administration fee, will be refunded upon written notice of cancellation to the ISHRS office received on or before October 23, 2019. After this date, there will be no refund of fees for cancellation or for lack of attendance without notification. It is your responsibility to ensure that your cancellation request has been received by the ISHRS headquarters office. All refund requests must be in writing. “No shows” who have not pre-paid will be invoiced for the total registration fee.
Those who have registered and are unable to attend due to difficulties in obtaining a visa must notify the Society headquarters prior to the start of the meeting. A full refund less a $100.00 administration fee will be applied in this situation. No refunds will be issued for lack of notification prior to the start of the meeting.
